Why compress images?

Large image files slow down your website, take up storage space, and are harder to share via email or messaging apps. Compressing your images reduces file size while maintaining acceptable visual quality.

How does it work?

Our compressor uses advanced algorithms to reduce file size. For JPG and WebP, you can adjust the quality level. For additional compression, you can also resize images to a maximum dimension. Everything happens in your browser — your files are never uploaded.

Which format should I choose?

JPG is best for photographs with many colors. PNG is ideal for graphics, logos, and images with transparency. WebP offers the best compression for both photos and graphics, but has slightly less universal support.

FAQ

Is the compression secure?
Absolutely. Your images are compressed directly in your browser and are never sent to any server.
What is the maximum file size?
You can compress images up to 25 MB for free. With the Pro plan, the limit goes up to 100 MB.
Does compression reduce image quality?
For JPG and WebP, there is a trade-off between file size and quality. You can control this with the quality slider. PNG compression is lossless when not resizing.
Can I also resize images?
Yes, you can optionally set a maximum dimension to further reduce file size. The aspect ratio is always preserved.
Which browsers are supported?
The compressor works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
